○ Results
- The total score of IPSS and sub-item (The sense of residual urine) were significantly decreased
- The prostate health promotion improvement evaluation (5-point scale) significantly increased compared to the control group.
(2) Animal test and in vitro test
○ Animal model: benign prostatic hyperplasia induction model
○ Cellline: prostate cancer cell line, prostate epithelial cells
○ Results
- As an indicator of hormones that cause prostate hyperplasia, 5-α reductase, dehydrotestosterone (DHT), androgen receptors were significantly decreased compared to the control group.
- A significant decrease in the expression of prostate-specific antigens (PSA) and proteins involved in cell apoptosis.
